WHAT IS RCIA AND WHO IS IT FOR? Did you know that there is a process in the Catholic Church called RCIA? It stands for "The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults." RCIA is a beautiful experience for people who are seeking to become Catholic or even for people who might already be Catholic but are seeking to renew and deepen their faith. Maybe you have already received the Sacraments of Baptism or First Holy Communion but were never Confirmed. Maybe you are getting married here at Saint Catherine's, and your fiancé who is not Catholic would like to share your faith with you more completely. Do you know someone who is searching for God in his or her life? Please gently tap them on the shoulder and invite them to get to know God more closely, and also let them know that they are welcome at Saint Catherine's and loved unconditionally.
If you are prepared to begin study toward recieving the Sacraments at the Easter Vigil next year and are interested in beginning classes, please contact Pastoral Associate, Ellen Heitman. There is room for meeting individually over the summer months for inquirey, and we will begin formal classes in September. Please check back to this site for further information. |
