Marriage Preparation

ARE YOU INTERESTED IN MARRYING AT ST. CATHERINE'S?

If Yes, Couples Should:

  1. Contact us to reserve the wedding date on the parish calendar and for an initial meeting so we can get to know you.
  2. We will work with you in all aspects of your marriage preparation.

NOTE: The Pastor of a non-catholic bride/groom is welcome to participate in accordance with the ecumenical guidelines of the Archdiocese.

What does the process entail?

Couples participate in an evaluation, such as the FOCCUS, arranged during the initial visit with the Pastor.
You will also be required to participate in a marriage preparation program for the engaged in a weekend retreat or daylong seminar. All necessary information will be given at the initial visit.
Requirements are established by the Wisconsin Conference of Catholic Bishops.

FINAL NOTE: If either party had been in a previous marriage, it is imperative that the freedom to marry be established in the first meeting with the Pastor.
