St. Ben's Meal Program Once a year St. Catherine's participates in the Community Meal program at St. Benedict the Moor (St. Ben's). "The Community Meal is served six nights a week, Sunday through Friday, from 5:15 to 6:30" (www.stbensmilwaukee.org/meal). They average 350 guests a day, ranging from low income residents, local workers grabbing a meal before work, to the completely impoverished. Everyone shares this time together, and with the love of food, families and friends exchange companionship and good company. We are proud to be one of the 85 sponsor groups that "prepare, transport and serve these meals." The feeling you get from experiencing and participating in the meal program simply can not be described. Interested volunteers should contact the parish offices.
